How to Care for you Candles
Did you know a candle has a memory?
Yes, it does! The first time you burn your candle is the most important—it sets the stage for every burn after. To help you enjoy your candle safely and get the most out of every flame, here are a few helpful tips:
THE FIRST BURN The initial burn of your candle is essential for an even burn. Allow it to burn for 3 to 4 hours or until the wax melts completely to the edges of the jar. This helps prevent tunneling a better overall experience. Your candle will appreciate the proper burn, and you'll enjoy its warm glow to the fullest!
WHERE TO BURN YOUR CANDLE
Take your time with the candle! Let it melt fully to the edges for a longer, better burn.
Burn your candle on an even fire-resistant surface and avoid drafts. The breeze will cause your candle wick to create smoke and burn unevenly.
TRIM WICK
Before lighting your candle, be sure to trim the wick to minimize soot and ensure a steady flame throughout its burn time. We suggest using a wick trimmer to carefully snip the tip of the wick for best results.
STOP BURING INDICATORS
When your candle burns down to less than 1/4 inch of wax, stop using for safety reasons. It’s also a great opportunity to treat yourself and order a new one!
CANDLE JAR RECYCLING
Clean any leftover wax and wick, and remove the label. Then, place the items in the recycling bin.
UPCYCLE THE CANDLE JAR
Use your imagination to discover new purposes for these candle jars after cleaning them thoroughly by cleaning them.
